BIO:

I am a young Dachshund/Basset Hound mix who needs a lot of attention because I am so young. I am one of six puppies but only three of us survived after birth because our mom passed kennel cough on to us which turned into pneumonia. I did not get as sick as my sister Ashley but I have been on antibiotics to make sure that the sickies don’t come back again. I am a very happy and healthy little girl (even though I am bigger than my brother and sister.) I happen to think that I am cuter too; you can be the judge of that!

I am not yet housetrained as I am just a puppy but I am in the process of learning. I love to play with my siblings as well as my newest friend a kitten. I also get along well with other dogs and cats too! Because I am a puppy I am teething and like to chew on everything I can get my mouth on so please make sure that your home is puppy proof. I am very energetic and fun but I do like my mid afternoon naps. I need be placed in a home that has the time to train and care for a puppy.  If you can give me this type of furever home, please fill out an adoption application today.

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
