BIO:

My name is Gizmo and I was found in Tennessee on the side of the busy road with my brother. We had been scavenging for food and trying to stay safe and alive for quite a while. Times have been very tough for my brother and me but now we are safe in our new foster homes. When we were on our own, we got bit by many fleas and other bugs and had no protection from the environment so we ended up with allergies and extreme hair loss. We are much better now and have been treated with medicine and we are being fed a healthy diet. So now we are waiting for our hair to grow back to its original beauty.

I am the smaller of the two brothers and I am much more timid. My bigger brother was the one to protect me and help me in the wild. I am now learning how to be a dachshund and I am learning about myself and how to behave. I am also learning new socialization skills with other dogs. I really like people and enjoy sitting on a lap for long periods of time. I have been learning how to be an indoor dachshund but can say that I am completely crate trained. I am easy going and a bit shy at first but that goes away very quickly. I just need to learn to be more social and trusting with my new foster pals. I do love to chew on a good bone and I also love to snuggle inside of blankets.

My life has been really tough until now but I am safe and happy and healthy. Oh and did I mention how adorable I am? You must check out my beautiful pictures, I pose very well.
