Sweetie & Rascal are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together. Each has their own personalities but are too bonded to live in any home without the other one.

SWEETIE:
My name suits me so well.  I am just the sweetest thing.  I am probably the BEST lap snuggler you will ever meet.  I just curl up on your chest and put my head near your neck.  I can stay like that forever!!!!!  I haven’t been able to tell my whole story, but from the way my foster family treats me, I think it must not have been very good.  My foster mom is trying her best to house train me, but I am really struggling with that.  I promise to keep working at it.  I just want to make her and you happy.  I love human contact and will pester you to no end, I must not have gotten much where I came from.  I love my best friend in the whole world Rascal, we’ve been through so much together.  I would really like him to come with me where I go.  We do sleep together in the crate and we are super quiet all night long.  Sometimes we have to go into the crate during the day because I am still working on house training.  I really don’t mind it though.  I just curl up in a ball and sleep.  I do bark a little sometimes, but hey….. I’m a dachshund and it’s what we do!!!!

RASCAL:
My name is Rascal and I’m probably just the cutest dog you will ever see.  I have magnificent markings.  My foster mom says that I look like a living stuffed animal when I run.  I am currently learning not to mark my foster family’s home.  I’m doing a pretty good job at learning.  It’s a really hard habit to break, you know.  I’m pretty sure I’ve had a rough time of it before coming to my foster family home.  I had to have all but 4 of my teeth removed, but that doesn’t stop me from eating one bit.  I love to eat, just ask Sweetie my best friend.  If she isn’t done fast enough, I help her finish all of her food too.  Speaking of Sweetie, I would really like to go to a home with her.  We have been together a very long time and I think I would miss her.  I follow her lead as I don’t think I hear too well.  I do sleep in a crate and stay there sometimes during the day.  I don’t really mind, it gives me more time to nap.  I love to nap.  I especially look forward to the naps I get to take on my foster mom or dad’s lap!!!!  Those are the best naps.  I really don’t bark all that much.  When I do, it’s usually because you are not within my sight.  I really want to be with you all the time.  Please look at my eyes and know that I will make you the best companion you’ve ever had.
