BIO:

Peanut is a wonderful guy who doesn't act his age. He is sweet and happy and a playful little boy. He loves to play fetch with a ball and will bring it back and throw it to you. He loves squeaky toys and cuddling in the big bed. He is friendly with strangers and travels well in the car. Peanut is house-trained and crate-trained. He is great on walks and trots pleasantly beside you with slack on the lead. He gets along with all other dogs and is happy to see any human that can offer him a little loving a great lap to lay in. He would prefer to sleep in the big bed at night near his human so he can feel safe.  Peanut was dumped by his previous owners on New Year's Eve at the local shelter. He really hopes that your new year's resolution is give a sweet and happy little Dachshund a furever home.

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
