BIO

Scamper is a very sweet guy with beautiful long red hair.  He is still a puppy at 1.5 years old and is very playful but knows how to sit when told!  He has had a rough start in life.  Found as a stray, he was picked up by animal control along with his fur brother Duke.  When his owner was notified they were at a high kill shelter, they never showed up to get them. He was covered in fleas!  Despite all this, he is just a joyful happy little guy that just wants to play and be loved on.  He gets along with all the dogs male and female here.  He is adjusting to having a cat in his life but just chases her. Scamper is currently in a foster home with four kids and does very well with them. He is a real lover boy and loves being with his humans.  He would do good in just about any home that promises to love him furever!  Please consider giving Scamper a furever home by filling out an adoption application for him.

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
