BIO:
Hi! I am Peanuts! I am a gorgeous little girl with great manners! I love to cuddle, go for walks and just be loved! I am a well behaved little girl who does very well with commands of ‘no’, ‘walk’, ‘outside’ and ‘bed time’! I am a fan of your bed; I love to snuggle under the covers and help keep you warm and safe! I am a very laid back personality. While I am completely house trained, I occasionally have accidents as my past made for some forgetfulness, but my foster mommy works very closely with me to try and read my needs! Like riding a bike, I am re-learning that outside is the place to go! I love spending time outside in the warm sun and going for walks and car rides are a major plus!
Please take the time to learn more about me and think about making me your furever friend and I will show you just how wonderful I am! I am ready for my permanent home, I’ve had some great fosters to love me, but I am ready for stability! So what do you say?

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law. Thank you for supporting a dachshund in need.
If you would like additional information or have any questions, please feel free to contact the foster family directly. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Would you like to help other senior dogs that are dumped at shelters or surrendered by their owners but due to medical issues, FDR keeps them as sanctuary dogs? Please learn about Annie, who was one of those dogs and how her memory is helping other senior dogs.
Annie was dumped at a high-kill shelter when she was 14 years old. FDR rushed to rescue her. Due to her extensive medical issues she became a sanctuary dog and lived in her foster home, happy and loved, until the day she passed in the arms of her foster mom whispering loving words in her ear. If you would like to help other dogs like Annie, please help Annie's Fund!
