BIO:  

Mia is a senior girl looking for a home of her own to be held and given lots of belly rubs.   She is fully house trained however like most doxies does not like to get her feet wet or go out in cold weather.  Raised in a family with four doxies she is used to other dogs and lots of activity. 

She initially came into rescue with the other doxies due to the family having a run of bad luck and no longer being able to care for any of the dogs.   Mia was recently returned to rescue. Her wonderful adoptive dad hurt his back and needs complete bed rest and surgery.

Please consider opening up your heart and home to this special lady to find a home forever.

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
