Hi, my name is Garth. I am the cutest chocolate dapple boy there ever was! Look at my sweet innocent eyes just begging to be loved. I am very playful and friendly with other dogs. I was abused by an adult male, so I am very fearful and can be protective against adult or teenage males. I will need a home without males. I am great with little kids, especially little or teenage girls, but please, no toddlers or infants as I am timid at first and not sure what I would do around a child that might not handle a dog with tender care. I love sleeping with my foster mommy in bed and think belly rubs are the best! I am crate trained and 80% house broken. If you are consistent with me and watch for the signs, I can be accident free and will learn in no time. A calm, less chaotic home will be the best for me. Are you the family I’ve been looking for?

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
