BIO:
Hi, I’m Bobby. Am I not the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? I lived my whole life in a puppy mill so when I arrived at foster mom’s, it was a brand new world for me. I didn’t know how to eat from a bowl, had no idea what “treats” were, had never seen toys, would run from everyone who tried to approach me, and wouldn’t even come inside out of the rain. Well, there were two other doxies there who looked like me and they took me under their wings. Have I come a long way…… I eat (well, maybe it’s inhale) my food from a bowl, absolutely love treats, steal toys, want to be picked up so that I can snuggle next to any available human, and in typical doxie fashion, have decided rain isn’t much fun. I’m getting much better at pottying outside too and, even though I’m still a work in progress, I do gravitate toward potty pads.
I had to see a cardiologist because everyone kept saying I have a heart murmur whatever that is. Well, I guess he confirmed it and I should have another echocardiogram in a year but….don’t let that scare you. Apparently I don’t know I have it because I have no symptoms and I’m as lively as a two-year old. I love to greet foster mom when she comes home from work with barks and my unique “Bobby dance”. I also bark at her if I don’t think she gets my food down fast enough – I think this is pretty cute but she doesn’t like it so much; I guess I might stop that if I didn’t get one of the other doxies going too.
She has two other furry critters called cats. I may have seen such things before I came here but no one’s sure. Anyway, I kinda like the old one because he just keeps to himself; the big, young one is trouble and I avoid him at all costs! I love to play with the furbabies like me – we run and run and run together. When bedtime rolls around, just give me a treat and let me sleep in my bed in your room – I don’t even want to be in the big bed. Oh, one more thing…one of the doxies turned me on to a canvas grill cover – there’s nothing better than sunning out on the deck on that canvas!
So, now that I’ve discovered what it’s like to be a pet and found I really like it, can you find room in your home to take me in? I promise to love you (and shadow you) and I don’t take up much room.
