BIO:
Hey there! My name is Oscar and I am searching for a forever home with people who will love me unconditionally. I was surrendered by the only family I have ever known because they moved to an apartment that would not allow me to come along. I was very sad but now I have a fantastic foster dad and two foster siblings that I play with and get along with very, very well! It’s so much fun having playmates to run around with and snuggle with at night.
I love sleeping in the “Big Bed” with my humans and siblings. If I have the chance I will burrow deep under the covers and keep your feet warm. I used to live with two kitties and I like them too. I don’t like small children because they move too quickly and are a bit too grabby for my likings. I’m a typical dachshund in that regard because a home with small children is not the right home for me. I would love to adopt an active couple or be a constant companion for someone who is home a lot. I don’t mind being left at home while my humans go to work because I do not have separation anxiety issues at all. I am very quiet and well behaved; I just want someone to love me. If you are looking to be rescued than I am your man!

We encourage adopters from all over Northern California and the Greater New England Area and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $60.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law. Thank you for supporting a dachshund in need.
