Phoenix is going through heartworm treatment – she is not available until September 2011.

Phoenix is a wonderful little girl who is the biggest love bug that I have ever seen.  She is so happy to be around humans and just wants to sit with you and show you how much she loves you.  She gets along well with other dogs and greets all humans with a tail wagging!  Phoenix would do wonderful in a home where people stay home with her all day but if not, she would love to have a fur pack to hang out with.  Phoenix loves to be in the yard and would really love to have a fenced in yard to play in all day but she is very good on a leash and loves to walk.  To read Phoenix’s full story go to:  http://fureverdachshundrescue.freeforums.org/phoenix-found-alone-and-heartworm-positive-t69.html

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
