BIO:  Winnie is a very sweet girl. She survived being used as a breeder dog her whole life, and is ready to peacefully enjoy her golden years. She gets along very well with the 5 dogs & 3 cats in her foster home.  Winnie is a little skittish, and scared of loud noises, so she would do best in a more quiet, relaxed home.  She enjoys getting brushed on your lap.  She is crate trained and happily goes in when it’s time for you to leave.  Because of her circumstances growing up, she still has an occasional accident, but we’re working on it.  Winnie would love to be your new family member.  She has so much love to give the right person or family. We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
