Lily is timid and shy at first, yet very loving and devoted to her
caregiver. It does take her a little while to trust you fully. She enjoys
being with you wherever you are and gives lots of light, sweet kisses. She
enjoys playing with other small dogs, however is not overly agressive.
She's quiet, other than if she feels there's an intruder and also gets
defensive around larger dogs. She is not at all scared of the vacuum,
however, jumps or backs off when there's a loud or surprising noise. She is
skiddish around new people when they approach her on walks. She does walk
well, prefers harness over collar only and stops/steps back when she senses
someone is approaching.  She seems to have a preference for people food
over dog food. She likes to sleep on a pillow on the bed near you, or
cuddle on her blankie. She will go in the crate, but cries and would rather
be with you. If you leave her in another room your'e not in, she will cry
and scratch the
floor until you give. Does play lightly with rope. She was right at home
with my older mother-in-law right away opposed to other people she's come
in contact with on walks.
