BIO:  Bogie is a cool and happy little dude. He was pulled from a shelter by an all breed rescue group but did not do well in the kennel type set-up and they asked us to take him into foster care so his sweet little personality could shine through. Bogie is a good guy who loves to play and will initiate play with both big and little dogs. He needs a robust and playful companion because he can become overbearing for a less playful dog. Bogie does have some fear issues involving reaching over his head to touch his haunches and because of that we require that he goes to a home with no small children and to a family that will accept his fear and help him work through it. He has made great strides while in foster care and has really blossomed. Bogie is house-trained and will happily go into his crate for times when you are not home. We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
