BIO:
Hi everyone! My name is Toby and I’m in need of a new home. My previous mommy was too busy with small kids and two other dogs and gave me to a high-kill shelter in VA. My sister Piper and I are both available for adoption. Piper is the outgoing one of the both of us. I tend to be a bit shy at first until I get to know you. However, once I know and trust you, I am all yours!
I am still adjusting to my new environment here at my new foster mom’s house. When I’m a little unsure of my surrounding, I tend to whimper. My foster mom has done everything from taking me out, to giving me treats, to just holding me. When I am in her arms I feel safe and stop. Now that I’ve been here and adjusting, I’m not whimpering nearly as much. Now when I whimper it’s usually because Piper snuggles so close to me that she lays on top of me and I can’t breathe. I can be kenneled at night, but I am happiest when I get to sleep in the big bed. I don’t take up much space and I am a GREAT snuggler.
My foster mom tells me I am a fabulous guard dog. I alert her when I hear something I’m not familiar with. She’s working on getting me to stop barking when she say’s “thank you” but I’m still working on it because I get so excited about doing such a good job! She also tells me how well-behaved I am because I have not had one accident inside the house, and I don’t get into things I shouldn’t. She thinks I should get adopted quickly because I am what she calls a Triple Threat - I am well-behaved, good looking, and have a great personality!
I’d really like to find a home where I can be loved and showered with attention. Do you think you could open your heart and home for me?

BIO:
Piper came to us from a high-kill shelter in VA with the owner’s other dog Toby. Piper is a gorgeous lady from the tip of her nose to the last hair on her tail! When posing, her tail looks like a sail blowing in the wind. She has a soft, luscious coat that she shows off like a model on a runway. Unlike most models, she likes her meals and treats so you have to monitor her intake to stay fit and trim. She’ll try to bat her big brown eyes and sway you into giving her another treat so you have to stand firm and not give in to her demands. Daily walks and exercise will be a key factor in keeping her healthy and happy.
She is delighted to follow you from room to room to see what is going on and take part in the action or just lay at your feet. She also likes to cuddle and be held. She will promptly roll over and let you rub her belly and fall asleep. She can be kenneled, but would prefer to be beside you and snuggled next to you in bed.
She is completely potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside by giving you a little dance routine and lead you to the door in the process of spinning and swirling.
Piper is currently being fostered with two boys. They haven’t known each other long and seem to mind each other’s space but have not connected with each other. She knows how to stand her ground and is not submissive to them. I think with time she will enjoy the companionship of another dog; however, I think she would do well as an only dog where she can have the spotlight.
