BIO:

Chappy came to his foster home already house trained, crate trained and knows basic commands such as come and sit.  He is a double dapple that can hear and has vision, although we think it is limited.  He is blind in one eye and has limited vision in the other eye. Chappy is very sweet and likes to cuddle on your lap.  He gets along great with other dogs and cats and enjoys playing with both.  Please consider adopting Chappy and giving him a loving furever home.  Chappy is a very calm and relaxed dachshund, he enjoys sleeping on the sofa or in his crate.  When Chappy first came to our home, he rarely barked.  After getting his teeth cleaned, he will now bark when someone pulls into the driveway or comes into the yard.   He is a great little guy. Please consider giving Chappy a furever home.

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
