My name is Piper, I’m gorgeous and I know it.  I know this because my foster family tells me all the time.  I’m a little shy until you get to know me but that doesn’t take very long.  I love to follow my foster parents around and want to be with them all the time.  So much so that I get underfoot, but I don’t mind.  They feel bad when I get in the way of their feet and pet me more.  I LOVE to play with balls, I will play fetch as long as you want and then even longer.  I really don’t need any other toys, I just really love to play with any sized ball.  I do pretty well with potty training, but I’m young and still have an accident once in a while.  I can’t seem to grasp that if I go to the door, I will be able to go outside to potty.  I sleep in my crate at night, but I wake up pretty early.  I will wake you up for a belly rub at 5:00am!  I really do not like children but  it didn’t take me too long to warm up to my step-foster-siblings.  I think I liked them before they liked me, but I won them over with my charm.  Please consider me as I’m just the sweetest thing.
Piper can NOT go to a home with ANY children under the age of 15.

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
