BIO: I’ve been bounced around a little, but not as much as some of the other dachshunds I’ve heard about. My surrendering mom was very sad to see me go and I was very attached to her, but I understand that she had to do what was best for her. She did a really good job of taking care of me. So much so that she let me get a little overweight and sleep with her every night. I have had no problem adjusting to my new home with my foster parents. I especially love my foster-dad. They are working very hard to help me lose weight; I’ve actually lost over a pound already!!! I’m a VERY good girl and I don’t bark nearly as much as my step-foster-siblings. I know my foster parents don’t sleep with us, but I really didn’t enjoy sleeping in my crate with the door closed. As soon as my foster mom realized this and opened the door, I slept fine. Since then, I sleep all night either in my crate (with the door open) or in my bed. Most of the time I am exactly in the same place in the morning as where I started. I enjoy walks, I eat slowly and prefer to sit with my foster parents than with the other pesky dogs. I really do like people food, I make all sorts of noise when it is supper time looking for something yummy to eat. I don’t understand why they won’t give me anything though. So, I guess I will have to stick to eating carrot sticks, sigh.
