BIO:
Hi everybody! My name is Oscar and I am the sweetest 2-year old you’ll ever meet. I was recently brought up to Rhode Island to recover after my heartworm treatment. The family that surrendered me had me outside on a leash and didn’t give me the medical care I needed. Because of this, I tested positive for heartworm and had to have a series of shots to get rid of them so now I have to rest for the next 4-6 weeks until I they are completely gone and I am back to full health. My new foster mom says I shouldn’t have any problem getting adopted because I am the sweetest, most gentle boy she’s ever fostered.
I am quite shy and it took me a few days to trust my new foster mom to come out of my crate and accept her. I want to trust and please, but I get nervous and shake a lot until I get to know you. I would do well in a home where I have a strong pack leader to follow but gentle with me because it doesn’t take much to correct any behavior with me. I really like my new foster brothers. I want to play with them all the time, but until I am back to full health, I can’t get too excited. I would LOVE to have someone to play with in my furever home because I do have a lot of energy.
I am adjusting well to my new schedule. My foster mom is so proud of me because I haven’t had one accident in the house because we have a consistent schedule. I’m getting my appetite back and enjoy mealtime and treats. I’m almost done with my treatment and will be able to go to my furever home soon. Do you think you might be my furever family?
