BIO:  

Sparky is a dachshund mix.  He may be mixed with beagle but he is beautiful.  Sparky was surrender to the Marion SC county pound by his former owner.  His left eye is clouded, probably from an old injury.  This made him confused, terrified & somewhat snappy to be in such a chaotic place like the shelter.   Sparky is doing much better now that he is in a foster home where he is talked to and allowed to be a companion.  He would even do better in a furever home that he knows he will live out his life.   Sparky gets along with other dogs but would prefer playful quiet doggie buddies.  His favorite thing to do is ask for lots of love and tummy rubs.  He enjoys playing with toys and would require many of them in his furever home.  Sparky is a good doggy kisser!  He does prefer to eat in his crate alone where his foster siblings can’t try to "share" his dinner.  If you can give Sparky a furever home, please complete an adoption application today!

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
