BIO:
Miss Trixie is an adorable older lady.  Pictures of her do not do her justice.   She loves to lie in the sun and have her belly rubbed.  Trixie is the Queen of the Household and sometimes is called Her Royal Highness.   Trixie is the first and last in line for treats.   She likes other dogs but would rather be by herself and not share her person.  She would do best in a home where she could be the only dog.  She prefers to be treated like the Queen she is but truly loves people.  Trixie walks great on a leash and would do great in home that had a big back yard or a small apartment.  She gladly greets people and allows them to touch her and pick her up. She is not that friendly with other dogs!  If you can give Trixie the furever home she deserves, please fill out an adoption application today!

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
