BIO:
Bernie is a beautiful black and tan long hair dachshund boy.  He has been someone’s baby for sure.  It’s a wonder that such a sweetie could be picked up as a stray in AR, and taken to a shelter.  FDR stepped in just in time to prevent him from Euthanasia.  This boy is pure love.  He loves to sleep on the back of the sofa, if he can’t sleep on your lap!  He thinks car rides are fabulous and walks the best!  He likes everyone he meets, is friendly to other dogs, cats, everything and everyone!  If you have been longing for the perfect companion to share your life, if love long walks and always having someone to come home too… well look no further Bernie is longing to be that special friend in your life!   Please fill out an adoption application so you can be Bernie’s furever home!

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
