BIO:  

Chewy is nothing but a love bug.  He rides well in the car but likes to be touched when riding!  He does not demand a thing only love!  He likes to sleep in the big bed under the covers and will go straight to bed when his person does.  He gets along well with other dogs and children.  I have not tried cats….He gives kisses on command!

He eats twice a day when told to eat and never begs for people food at the table.  He is learning to walk on a leash and we are constantly working on this.  He likes to go outside (in a fenced area) and do all his business and play in the grass.  He does not have to have toys to be a happy dog but does like blankets to cuddle with.  Chewy is not much of a barker only when something startles him from the outside.  He does not bark at other dog commercials!  If you can give a great furever home, please fill out an adoption application today!

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
