BIO:   Hi everyone I am Alfie (my name at the shelter was Popeye).   I was turned into a shelter with a badly injured eye - tt was ugly and painful. The great people at FDR took care of me and now I am a happy loving playful little guy looking for a fantastic home.    My foster Mom says she adores me a lot and that I would make a great companion to any home.   I do well with other dogs, I love belly rubs and playing in the fenced in yard.   So please do not let my missing eye stop you from adopting me.   I do not even know it is gone.

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
