BIO: Hi! My name is Lucky, I may be 9 and a little over weight but please don’t let my age or weight fool you, I still run & and enjoy life like a puppy, especially with my foster sisters. I get along great with them & even the cats. I am a very Lucky boy, I came into a great rescue, got a great foster family and I am on my way to a healthier lifestyle! I’ve been told it’s never too late to get healthy! I LOVE taking walks, and I walk very well on a leash! It’s so much fun to walk, explore and meet new people! I’ve recently starting swimming in the pool too (Still not sure how I feel about this though) But can you believe, I’m already losing weight?? At night, I love to sleep in a big bed with my foster brother (Yes, I love kids too) and burrow under the blankets just like a typical dachshund. I am very friendly, love being outdoors, and looking forward to having a family all of my own. My foster mom says I have a great personality and would make a wonderful addition to any home. We encourage adopters from all over the Greater New England Area and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
