BIO:
My name is Jackson and I am a handsome, red dachshund. I come to Furever Dachshund Rescue as an owner surrender along with my older brother Colby. My foster mom tells me all the time that I am a really good boy! I think she says that because I walk super well on a leash and I always put my jacket on when it’s time to go outside. I enjoy playing with the other foster dogs in the household as long as they play nicely. I am a huge snuggle bug and I love to sleep in the big bed under the covers. If you let me sleep with you at night I promise to keep you warm and toasty. Just think; I might save you some money on your heating bill at night!
I am housetrained but I need to be kept on a schedule. I have experience being kept in a crate but I really, really dislike it and sometimes I will scrape my nose until it bleeds. This is why I need to be kept on a tight schedule so that I don’t have an accident in the house. I enjoy my breakfast and dinner and have a healthy appetite. I am considered a small standard dachshund so I usually eat a full cup of food at each feeding; sometimes more. Oh, I forgot to mention that I don’t like to share my food with other dogs so it’s probably best to feed my out of my own bowl.
So if you want to adopt a super sweet guy that’s incredibly handsome, affectionate, warm and snuggly than I am your guy! And as a bonus I get along with respectful children and cats too!~
