BIO:
Kuma is a wonderful laid back boy who came to us under very sad circumstances. Kuma’s mommy died of cancer and the family was unable to care for Kuma and his needs. We were told that because he was an only dog that he had issues with other dogs but that is not the case. He has been in foster care for over a month now and really enjoys his foster brothers and sisters. He can be playful at times as well as calm and relaxed. Kuma would make an excellent companion for a senior citizen or for someone who only wants one dog. Kuma does great in a household with other dachshunds but would be wonderful as an only dog too!
Kuma has very fluffy long hair which will require occasional grooming so that he does not get mats. He enjoys playing outside in the yard as well as going for walks. His favorite spot on the Big Bed is right next to your chest. He is crate trained and housetrained as well as pee pad trained. Kuma is a very easy dog to care for and would love to find his furever home. Please adopt Kuma!

We encourage adopters from all over the Greater New England Area and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law. Thank you for supporting a dachshund in need.
If you would like additional information or have any questions, please feel free to contact the foster family directly. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
