BIO: I am a very lucky puppy! Furever Dachshund Rescue committed to taking my siblings and me into rescue because we were scheduled to be euthanized. We were promptly removed from horrific shelter conditions and brought to a local veterinarian who kept us and vaccinated us and gave us a safe and warm place to be prior to our journey. The morning of our transport some of us weren’t feeling so well but we began our journey thinking that it was nerves. By the night time, some of us were very sick and by morning our overnight transporter took us to the local veterinarian clinic. Many of us were sick but one of us was critical and the veterinarian was not equipped to care for us. A nice woman made the drive to pick us up and transport us to the emergency hospital where we would get 24 hour critical care. It was determined that we were sick with Parvo, Corona Virus, and Pneumonia. The smallest of us almost didn’t survive. It’s been 6 weeks since that horrific period and we are now all healthy and happy. We are current on our puppy vaccinations and have been spayed and neutered. We have also more than tripled in size because we are being fed the very best food on the market and it is yummy!
I am a baby beagle/hound who needs a lot of attention. I need to be in a home with someone who can spend most of their time with me because I need to be let out frequently. I am not yet housetrained as I am just a puppy. I love to play and get along well with other pets. Because I am a puppy I am teething and like to chew on everything I can get my mouth on. I will only be placed in a home that has the time and experience to train and care for a puppy.
We encourage adopters from all over the Greater New England Area and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt. If your puppy of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law. Thank you for supporting a dachshund in need.
If you would like additional information or have any questions, please feel free to contact the foster family directly. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
