Oreo - RI
The girls are great. "Oreo" is now Pearl, and "Belle", is now Ruby. We now are on a routine with eating, sleeping, crate training as well as leash training. They have made a pleasant addition to our family.

Things are going great with "Oscar" who is actually named Benson now. :) When he came to our home he became the little brother of a ten year old red male dachshund named Murphy and two cats: Chance a six year old female gray tabby and Eric a 4 year old male solid black domestic short hair. All four get along great! Benson is full of energy and brings a lot of joy into our home. Benson is a perfect fit for our family and he seems to be very happy here. He is house trained now. We also attend training classes on Monday evenings with Benson where he is learning to sit, stay, off, basic social skills, etc.... Benson is doing very well in class and is a great student. We are so glad we were able to become his "furever" family! :) We take pictures of Benson almost everyday. I have attached one for you to see. By the way, Murphy updates "his" facebook page almost everyday with info. about Benson. You can find it under Murphy Poole-Dachshund. If you guys would like to send him a friend request, I will let him (daddy helps him with his page :) ha ha!) know to be on the look out for it.

Oscar 3 - RI
Oscar is doing well. He was very thin when he got here, all skin and bones and I was very concerned about his weight. He acted as though he was starving all of the time. I have been feeding him (5) small meals a day and he has started to pick up some weight now and looking like a doxie. I do know about his background and I must say that I don't know how long it will take for him to totally trust anyone again. He is making progress and coming out of his shell a little more every day, but it's going to take time and patience and love. He seems happy enough, but still enjoys sleeping alone on his doggie bed. He loves Franklin and they romp and play in the backyard when it is sunny and warm. He is such a little sweetheart and has a very kind personality, but is still very timid and unsure of himself. He has had a few accidents in the house the first week he was here, but the second week he has using the doggie door every time, so I am very happy about that. Not to worry, Oscar has found his Furever Home here with us. We love him dearly and I know with time and lots of love, that he will get his confidence back. He deserves only the best and rest assured, that we are giving him everything that he needs. It is such a shame. He didn't even know how to play with a toy, but Franklin has been great with him, teaching him, giving him his space, and playing with him when he wants to play. I am so proud of Frank, for being such a nice boy. So far, he doesn't seem the least bit jealous of Oscar, and seems to understand that Oscar needs a lot of love. We still call him Oscar, but also call him Mister Myers, which he is starting to answer to. Please tell everyone at Furever thank you for me. It was a pleasure working with all of you girls and I admire all the time and effort that you spend helping these wonderful little doxies find their perfect home. You girls are outstanding!! I will write again soon about Mister Myers progress, and as soon as I replace my camera, I will send some pictures. Thanks again for everything.
