Zoey 2 - SC
I fell in love with Zoey with Laura took her out of the back of her car and put her in my arms. Her tail was wagging and she started kissing me right away. The ride home didn't faze her in the least, she lay down on the front seat and proceeded to go to sleep. I think it was a very long and tiring journey from South Carolina to Rhode Island and then on to Massachusetts. My biggest fear was Zoey and Abby together. Abby is my daughter, Julianne's mini dachshund. She is 2 years old and spoiled!! We love Abby and she comes over once a week and spends the night with us. But she is very protective and jealous of other dogs. Zoey could've cared less that Abby barked and barked at her. Now they chase each other around the house and the back yard. My daughter bought Zoey a stuffed porcupine that squeaks. She loves it. Problem is when Abby comes over, Abby thinks it's hers because she's got one too. Abby chases Zoey, barking at her and I swear Zoey knows it when she is tormenting Abby. Zoey will drop the porcupine and Abby grabs it and runs off. Zoey gets it back and on and on they go. Very funny to watch. Every day, Zoey settles in a little bit more. She is in the crate during the day, and is so excited when she sees us walk in the door. All she wants to do is kiss, kiss, kiss. She's been alone all day and doesn't even want to get outside to the bathroom - just kiss me, kiss me, kiss me!!! She is very well behaved. She loves her rawhide chews and will chew on one of them all night long. She has only had a couple of accidents in the house. She goes right to the door when she needs to go out. My daughter stopped by the house yesterday to visit Zoey and took this picture of her. It is a very cute picture! We are so glad we rescued Zoey. She is a beautiful little girl, we love her and look forward to many, many years with her. Thank you Forever Dachshund Rescue for being there to rescue her!! Jean
